If you are thinking about getting a TIP horse from a TIP trainer, the best place to start is by contacting your local BLM office. They can provide you with recommendations on proven, reliable TIP trainers. They can also help direct you away from any trainers with whom they have had issues or difficulties.
I have been a TIP Trainer since 2015 and have genteled more than 100 mustangs. If desired, I can provide you with multiple references from clients and BLM management and staff.
An adoption application is required to be completed and approved before any TIP horse can be adopted. Click on the Adoption application button above to fill out an application. When adopting a TIP horse, you must have fences that are at least 5 feet tall. The TIP program requires that every horse has a minimum level of training prior to being adopted to it’s new home. The trainer must be able to demonstrate that at a minimum he/she can: Halter the horse Lead the horse Pick up all four feet Load and unload the horse into a trailer
All TIP horses are only $125 each and that will be payed to the BLM before pick up.
